Book Review: Atisa and his Time Machine- Adventures with Hieun Tsang by Anu Kumar

This story is about a boy, Atisa, who has Daedalus’ time machine and wants to join his mother, Gaea in 7th Century Central Asia. However, it does not turn out to be the easy ride as he had thought it would be and crosses paths with Hieun Tsang, the famous monk and traveller. This traveller is being hunted, despite Atisa’s attempts to help him. Some mysterious enemy is targeting the monk and is trying to make sure he never returns to his homeland.

What unfolds next is a story of mystery and fantastic adventure by author Anu Kumar. It has wonderful illustrations (by Priya Kurian) in almost every chapter:

I’m sure this book will please all the 12+ children it was written for, including adults.

Anu Kumar YA fiction also includes  In the Country of Gold-digging Ants and Atisa and the Seven Wonders.
